Sideways Girl

This is my "sideways girl."

I created her to sum up what 2020 felt like to me. I was surprised this is what came out.

It's fun when your own art surprises you. There are hidden messages waiting to be uncovered.

I described her as being "beckoned." 

The chaos of 2020 beckoned me to do something new. To be more ME.

I also started beckoning other people...come try a new way of using art. 

...then Sara said, "She looks turned on her head."

To turn on its head means: "To treat or present something in a completely new and different way." 

"To innovate or alter something such as a field in an unprecedented way."

YESSS!! That's what happened to me in 2020. I took what I'd always been doing and turned it on its head. I took my degree in art therapy and transformed it into a specific process of receiving Soul Messages from art!

From this 2 minute drawing I received a strong assurance that I was on the right path...being beckoned to turn things on their head.

This is how my art helps me feel confidently guided through life.
